The time has come

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

This month is just flying by.  It’s already April 15.  Before I know it, it will be December and baby #4 will be arriving.

Well for now I will be dealing with 2 birthdays next week.  Nicki’s birthday is on the 23rd (Thursday) and Tony’s is on the 24th.  We decided that we are going to go to Busch Gardens instead of Disney.  We figured, now that we live only 30 min away from BG if we get the annual pass, we can go all the time.  It’s not a bad price, it’s like $20 a month for each person to go to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island.

Tony will hopefully have off Tuesday-Friday next week.  His weeks go from Wednesday-Tuesday so the Tuesday/Wednesday will be his 2 days for one week and Thursday/Friday will be for another week.  It will be awesome.  I think we may go on Thursday.

Nicki also wants to have a sleep over with some friends from school.  She will probably invite 4 girls over.  Not sure if we will just let them play around the house or take them somewhere.  She just asked me the other day so I really didn’t get time to plan anything.  Maybe I will take them to Miniature Golf or an arcade.

I haven’t really thought about what I will get her for her birthday.  She always just wants Nintendo DS games.  That sounds so boring.  As for Tony, he is really getting in to fixing up his car.  The one we have been towing around for the last 3 yrs.  He loves to make his cars fast.  He pulled the engine out and is just completely redoing it.  Maybe I will get him a hydraulic floor jack.  I am not sure though.  He has so much stuff he could use to fix up the car.  As for Nicki I will just have to go shopping.  She also usually likes arts and crafts.

Well I can’t wait until next week.  It will be fun, I think Lil T will enjoy himself too.

A little of this and a little of that…

My baby girl, Isabel, is almost 9 months and she has not cut her first tooth yet.  Lil T was about 7 months and he had several.  He was eating pancakes and such by the time he was 9 months.  So needless to say Isabel is definitely still on baby food.

Well the last couple days my sweet Bel has been a little under the weather.  She likes to put EVERYTHING in her mouth so my first thought was she swallowed something.  She was spiking a fever and had been really sleepy lately.  She also had been having some diarrhea.  I figured, or at least I wanted to believe that since she had pooped several times since the last time she had really been playing with toys that whatever she swallowed would have had to come out by now.  See, for the last 2-3 days since she has been under the weather someone had been holding her at all times.  Mostly me but sometimes big sissy or daddy.  Since I had not seen her put anything in her mouth lately I wanted to believe it couldn’t have been that she swallowed something and she was being affected by it.  As a mother though, I still worried.

She was still eating normal, having an appetite.  What bothered me the most is her fevers, the last one she had rose to 103 degrees.  I mean that warm, we should have been at the hospital or doctors.  The reason I didn’t do anything is because if I gave her Tylenol, her fever would go away within the hour and it wouldn’t come back the rest of the day.  She basically got a fever once a day for 2-3 days and it instantly went away with Tylenol.  She only spiked the fever that high once.  I also thought that maybe it was that high because she was just cuddling on the couch, under some blankets with Nicki.  You know, when you sleep your temperature rises.  Well at least mine does.  That is why I sleep with the air cranked to 69-70 degrees.

Well today she was completely fine.  No fever and no crying.  I am going to assume for now that she is just teething.  Poor baby, she does not handle pain well.

On a different note, this is day 3 after finding out I am pregnant.  So far so good.  I have not really had any morning sickness.  I get a little nauseous every now and again but nothing major.  What does bother me is the burning in my stomach.  I have had this problem since I was pregnant with Lil T.  Well more so when I was pregnant with Isabel.  I got heartburn pretty bad a couple times while I was pregnancy with Lil T but nothing consistent.

With Isabel, we had just moved out to South Florida (from Nevada) and every week for a couple months I had heart burn so bad that I couldn’t keep any food down.  I thought if I got rid of whatever I ate, that the burning would stop.  I hate to say heartburn because it wasn’t in my chest, it is in my belly.  Several months into my pregnancy with Isabel, the burning stopped.  After I had Isabel it came back real mild.  It would burn for a few minutes and then pass.

One of the signs that made me think I was pregnant this time is the burning came back, more painful and more often.  Now I get it every day and mostly right when I wake up and then a couple times throughout the day.  When I was pregnant with Isabel and I talked to my doctor she said it was just acid reflux and there was nothing she could really do.  Well I will tell you, it is extremely painful and very annoying.

Other than that, things are going well.  If I were to guess at this point what we were having, I would say girl.  Lil T’s pregnancy was miserable.  The first 4 months I didn’t want to get off the couch and I couldn’t even keep liquids down.  This pregnancy so far almost resembles when I was pregnant with Bel.  None of the recent 3 pregnancies even come close to Nicki’s pregnancy though.  It was the model, perfect pregnancy.  Almost no morning sickness, barely no discomfort and the delivery went really smooth.  Her pregnancy is what made me want to have more.  I thought this was a piece of cake.  I could have a million kids if all pregnancies were like Nicki’s.  LOL!  I was punished with my next pregnancy, it was HORRIBLE. From the date of conception to delivery, I was MISERABLE!

Anyways, it is getting late and I am off to bed.

I am pleased to announce….

….that Tony and I are having ANOTHER BABY! We just found out today, so I am sure I am only about4 weeks a long.  This will be our final baby, I will more than likely get my tubes tied.  We are extremely happy.  It looks like we will be having a Christmas baby.

So the other day I was not feeling very well at all.  Tony and I ran some errands and I got some real bad car sickness but what was unusual is it lasted all day.  At one point in the evening I was sweating and really dizzy.  I began to think, maybe I am pregnant.  See I actually took a test last week because I had not gotten my period but it came back negative.  That is not unusual for me.  Before we moved to our new place last month, from all the stress I was getting my period every other week.  So to go an extra week or so without getting it wasn’t shocking.  Then after I felt so crappy the other day and a little each day following, I thought I should take another test.

The tests I took were not expired but I had them from when I got pregnant with Isabel.  So a year and a half old.  They were going to expire this summer.  When I took the test this morning the “control” line was VERY faint.  The “pregnant” line was almost non-existent but I could see it a little.  So I thought I should get some newer ones.  I went to Walmart today and picked up a new box.  I TOTALLY was not expecting it to be positive.  It was however, VERY POSITIVE.

I just can’t wait. We are all very excited.

Since I am pregnant now, I won’t be taking any diet pills  for the next year or so.  I have however, over the last month or so, been looking at pills, dieting and exercise again.  Not understanding where my increased appetite came from I thought things are only going to get worse if I don’t do something about it.

In the past I have just taken diet pills because the name sounded cool and the infomercial said it would work.  I have had some pretty bad reactions to pills in the past so this time I decided to read the appetite suppressant reviews before making a decision.  I do hate though when there are so many mixed reviews.  An even number of good and bad.  How do you make a decision which to chose?

Well I guess the good thing is my answers were answered.  Why am I eating everything is site?  Why do those hot dogs and Velveeta Shells and Cheese taste so DAMN good.  It is because you are eating for 2!  LOL!

I love that excuse, since I am pregnant, when I eat a little more than I should it can be excused because of the pregnancy.  Since this is our last child, I am going to try and enjoy it as much as possible.  I am afraid though that I am going to gain a bunch of the weight I have worked so hard to lose.  I know it is inevitable that I will gain something but I just hope I don’t gain that much.  Over the past couple months I have gained about 8 pounds.  I am not happy about it but I am going to suck it up and hope it is just all the things going on right now.  I actually put a lot of that 8 lbs on during our move, the week before and the weeks leading up to today.

I am pretty excited not only to have another baby but to be forced to be done having kids.  If it was up to me I would have a dozen or two but since I can’t have more than 3 c-sections, I will need to stop after this baby.   I really need to get back in to shape and let my body heal.  I certainly don’t know how Michelle Duggar from 18 kids and Counting has had 18 kids.  She is pregnant almost every year.  That is crazy.

Well I will have to put my serious dieting and exercise on hold for a little bit.  My 2 lil ones keep me plenty active and busy.  LOL!

How far will we need to go?

Tony and I have been talking about how Lil T can unlock the front door and that really makes me nervous.  Especially as he gets older.  Now with another addition to the family I just feel that maybe we need some extra protection around the house.

What’s sad is I am not concerned a stranger will enter, I am concerned my children will escape.  LOL!  When we moved in to our new house we noticed it was all wired for a home alarm.  We found out from our landlord that the previous tenants did that because of their out of control children.  They were a little older than Lil T and they snuck out of the house.

Not that I want any added monthly bills but for the safety of my children I think we may need to look in to that.  I think they had the house set up for motion sensor so that may help for if Lil T starts roaming the house in the middle of the night.  Not that I want the alarms to go off but we need to be safe.

I think we will look in to what it would take to get it hooked up and how much it would cost.  Just so that we have some idea if that situation would ever present itself.

A little bit about my family:
I am a SAHM of 4 wonderful children and I have the most amazing boyfriend! I am trying to get my online business up and running. Paper crafts and scrapbooking is what I love to do in my free time (when I get some, 4 kids keep me busy) and to try and turn my hobby into a way to make money so I can stay home with my kids that would be wonderful. If you are in to paper crafting and scrapbooking or know someone that is please check out my online store: Artfuldelight.com. Nicki, Tony, Isabel and Max are the joy in my life, I love being home with them but sometimes money can be tight. Hopefully I can have some success with this store.
