Poor service….
So I am not really happy with USPS and UPS right now. I started my ebay store about a month ago and I have sold several dozen things. It wasn’t until we moved to this new house that a few things were arriving all mangled. Not sure if my mail carrier is pissed they have to come to my door to get the package or if it is because it seems I have several carriers for my area….maybe they are new. I just don’t know but it is costing me money and I’m not happy.
As far as UPS, my mom sent me a framed picture, I think it is an 11×14. The UPS tracking said it was supposed to get to me on Friday. It wasn’t until Tuesday that I received it. Well on Monday my mom said that according to the tracking, it said the package was damaged.
My mom makes me a cross stitch picture with my children’s birth info and then spends good money to have it professionally framed. Well when I got the picture on Tuesday, the frame was missing. Apparently it broke in transit and then the whole package had to be opened, all the glass removed and then resealed. My mom has taken her items to the same packing company every time she sends me something and we have never had a problem. Not only did the glass get broken but the frame was chipped and the mat frame was all scratched up.
So she calls UPS to complain and file a claim and they say it is the shippers fault for not packaging it correctly. Now it is in slightly a different box then it normally is but the box has tape all over it that says, “Fragile handle with care” and there was Styrofoam in the box. So I guess it is going to be a battle to get someone to pay for the damage.
I don’t know why my stuff keeps getting damaged. Is it bad luck or the package handlers, mail carriers………what is it?

The same thing has been happening to me. I received a decorated paint can in the mail and they delivered it smashed. It said fragile all over it. Poor packaging? I doubt it. Since then I’ve had 3 other packages arrive damaged. Next time I am filing a report.
