Did my birthday wish come true?

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Well I didn’t blow out any candles and I didn’t make a wish on my birthday but I have wished almost everyday for the last couple months that my next door neighbors would move.

It is a mom, her 2 boys and the mom’s boyfriend that live there…..oh and their annoying yappy dog.  I am not sure if I posted about this before but about a month or so ago there were about 4 cop cars parked in front of our house and it made me nervous, was I in trouble?  LOL!  No, the neighbor lady called the police on her boyfriend, he hit her and he was getting arrested.  I felt so bad because the day that happened a nice lady was moving in across the street.  I wonder what she was thinking.  :-(

Well the boyfriend was hauled off to jail and later in the day his family came and got his car, work truck and a bag of his clothes.  I don’t care much for the boyfriend because the day we moved in he tried to get in a fist fight with our landlord because our landlord was mowing the lawn and a couple blades of grass fell  by his $$24k car.  He was pissed and got in my landlords face.  I think the boyfriend did drugs or something.

Anyways, within a week or so he was back in the house.  They are so not friendly at all and have no manners.  Tony and I were sitting on the porch one day and they (the mother and kids) kept walking across our yard to get to the guys house on the other side of us.  Now mind you they were walking so close to our house I could have spit on them from my porch.  The problem I have with that is they don’t like us and we don’t like them so they shouldn’t be on our lawn.  They have also let their yappy dog shit on our lawn on a number of occasions.  Pisses me off.  We also think the kids were eating our raspberries from our backyard.

Nicki plays with the boys but I think that is only because she has no one else to play with.  They have no manners what-so-ever.  When they come to my door to knock, while they are waiting for someone to answer I see them looking in my windows.

Well there has been talk for the last month or so about them possibly moving.  Well at least, the day has come.  The moving truck was in front of their house today.  YIPPEE!!!!!!!

I just can’t express my happiness!

Not as prepared as I thought…

With the arrival of our new bundle on joy, OMG in 10 weeks.  Side thought: it seems like just yesterday I found out I was  pregnant.  10 weeks is still a decent amount of time, but it’s almost over.  No more kids for us, the tubes will be tied, this is difficult still to come to terms with but it’s for the best.  I am just ready, well mentally ready.  LOL!  So I was going through my baby stuff about a week ago and since we are in fact, well hopefully, having a boy we have a little more clothes than if we were having a girl.  I had all my boy stuff packed up and ready to give to Goodwill.  Thankfully we are procrastinators, we never got rid of it which is good since we are having a boy.  LOL!

Both of our lil ones were born in warm climate states and lil Max will be born in the winter in a 4 season state.  So that alone we will need to prepare for.  More warm weathered clothes.  I won’t be bringing him home in a onesie.  LOL!  Also my son can now climb in and out of his crib.  Is it really necessary he sleeps in one?  Baby Bel has been sleeping in a pack n play and Lil Tony has been in  the crib.  I did not want to buy another crib so that is how we kept things.  The plan is or was to wait until Tony was big enough to sleep in a toddler bed, then we would move Isabel to the crib and Tony to a toddler bed.  I think that will still be the plan so that way Max can sleep in the pack n play.

The other thing I really need to get is warm clothes for the kids.  It is freakin’ freezing outside today.  I mean it’s only 58 degrees but 6 yrs in Florida in the all year round warm weather, I kinda forgot how cold it really can get.  The problem is my son refuses to wear clothes.  He starts off wearing them but after a short period of time he has striped down to a diaper.  :-)

I am always looking for a great deal, the best deal.  Since our family is growing we have to do things a little different.  I can’t just go out and buy whatever no matter what price it is because quite frankly we live on a very tight budget every month.  From food to household items to necessities like clothes.  Clearance and bargains is my friend.  We shop at Aldi and buy meats on clearance (they are still good they just need to be frozen right away).  We buy things in the off season so they are on sale.  Anyways, I came across this great site that helps you find great deals on pretty much anything you would be looking for.  It’s called Freshdeals.com.  It’s a price comparison website and I have found it very useful.  I don’t always have an abundance of time to just sit and browse through website after website.  I can just pull up freshdeals.com and compare prices from many different stores.

So basically I need to make a list of everything I need for the kids and just get it.  New beds, new clothes, baby items…..I guess and while I’m at it I should get some warm clothes for me too.  It is 60 degrees today and I am sitting around in a tank top and shorts, I feel a bit chilly.

Kids really are expensive!  LOL!

It’s that time

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

OMG, I just can’t believe how fast the time is flying by.  Another month has come and gone.  In just a few short days we will be heading in to October and in a few short months we will be celebrating Christmas.  Christmas this year will be a little more expensive as all my kids are getting a little older which means I can’t just buy whatever.

Tony is supposed to get a bonus in November and I hope it’s a good one.  I am not quite sure what I will get yet but hopefully with the bonus I will be able to get Tony something too.  We usually don’t buy things for each other.  Mostly because throughout the year if we want something, we buy it.  However with the additional kids and change in finances (with the new job and the move) we haven’t really bought anything in a while.

There are a couple things that I know Tony wants like a pasta roller and a planetary mixer.  He is still playing his Playstation 2 which he has had for about 7 yrs.  Well maybe not that long, but it has been awhile.  We have talked about getting a new gaming system but we were not sure which ones to get.  Maybe we will get a PS3, Lil Tony likes to play with Tony’s Playstation 2 and he is a little rough with it so I am not sure it will be a good idea until he gets a little older.

We do a lot of cooking from scratch, pasta, bread, pizza dough and desserts so I really think a planetary mixer will be a better gift at this time.  As for the rest of the kids, I am just not sure.  For this lil ones I will probably just walk up and down the toy aisles and pick things up I think they will like.  Nicki, I just don’t know, she is sort of in that difficult stage.  She doesn’t play with toys anymore, mostly in to clothes and makeup I guess.  So I will have to ask her what she wants.  LOL!

I sure do love the holiday’s, especially Christmas.  This year with Tony’s new job, he will have Christmas Day off,  I am so totally excited. Since we have been together, we have spent one Christmas together and that was only because we had just moved to Nevada and we both didn’t have jobs yet.

This will be a great Christmas!

Pretty uneventful

Not much has happened here in the last couple weeks.  Same ole’ same.  Wake up, fight with the kids, take naps, fight with the kids, eat dinner, fight with the kids and then bed.  LOL!

On happy note, I only have 10 more weeks left in my pregnancy.  I am so totally excited.  I am at the point where I pee a lot, my back in killing me and I can’t get comfy when I sleep.  I can only eat a small amount at a time so I feel like I am eating NON-STOP!  I hate it because there is only so many different things in the kitchen for me to eat so I get bored with the eating.  I know eating shouldn’t be fun but when I get bored eating the same stuff, I end up just not eating and that is not good.  Oh and I am tired ALL THE TIME.  5 min after I wake in the morning, I am already ready for a nap.

I remember when I was pregnant with Lil Tony and so it was just Tony, me and Nicki.  I did  nothing but work and sleep with a little laundry on occasion.  I would get off work at 5pm, be home by 6pm and was in bed (for the night) by 6:05pm.  Tony worked nights and usually made dinner before he left for work so all we had to do was heat it up.  Nicki would microwave her dinner, watch tv or whatever and then go to bed.  On weekends when both Tony and I didn’t work, I don’t think I got out of bed except to pee or shower.  My pregnancy with Lil Tony was miserable so I slept almost the whole pregnancy.  Some days I miss that.  Not that I would change having all my children, I am just at that time in my pregnancy where I wish I had more alone/quiet/me time.

I sometimes worry that I will have baby Max before the delivery date.  I have a lot of cramping, and sometimes a lot of pressure.  Plus some days my kids stress me a lot and I feel my body is not happy.  I carry my kids around a lot, I walk up and down stairs a lot.  I just feel I am way more active this pregnancy than with any others.  Being my 4th kid I just think I may not make it to Dec 7.  I try to take it easy when Tony is home but I feel bad because he works all week and deserves time off too.

I dunno, I am just ready to not be pregnant anymore, get in to shape so I can care for my kids properly.  Take them outside to play, play activities inside or just be able to keep up with my 2 toddlers and an infant ANDa pre-teen……and a partridge in a pear tree!  LOL!

To fly or not to fly that is the question

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

With the holiday’s approaching and the arrival of our 4th baby the next couple of months may be a bit busy.  Nicki is planning on going back to Illinois for Thanksgiving and then my mom will be coming to Virginia in Dec for the birth of baby Max.

I won’t be able to afford to pay for any of the plane tickets. Nicki will be going to her grandma’s house on her dad’s side so she will have to pay for the ticket.  I feel bad because around the holiday’s airline tickets will probably be pretty expensive.  Maybe she will be able to find some good deals with CheapOair.com coupons or Expedia.com coupons.  I am not sure if she will be going anywhere for Christmas, so far we have planned Thanksgiving.  Maybe if  Grandma Ridley can get a cheap airfare then she will be able to fly her there for Christmas too.

I would prefer that she was home for Christmas but I do realize she misses her family.  As I have posted before we have had some problems with Nicki so I decided that maybe she needed to spend more time away with her family.  Things we pretty rough when she first came home from her time with my dad.  She was distancing herself more from the family, she felt she needed to email and/or call them daily.  It just made things rough.

Hopefully all things will work out and she will get to spend time with all of her family for the holiday’s.  In  addition, now that we have a set date for the delivery of baby Max, my mom can book her flight with enough advance notice that maybe the tickets won’t be so expensive.  If not I will definitely refer her to the site to find cheap tickets.  I ove the holiday’s and I am so happy to be able to welcome a new bundle of joy just in time for Christmas!

Family night

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Today is my birthday, it feels like any other day.  That is the sad thing about getting old(er).  It is just another day, just another year older.  The funny thing is I can’t ever remember how old I am anymore.  I always have to do the math when someone asks me.  My brother asked me the other day and I didn’t do the math and I told him I was going to be 33.  He was like, I thought we were 3 yrs apart (he is 35), I then did the math and realized “oh crap, I am only going to be 32″.  LOL!

So anyways, we try to go out to dinner as a family on each others birthday’s.  As our family grows eating out is a rarity so it is that much more special when we do go out.

It was great that Tony had the day off.  He kept offering to let me go upstairs and watch tv in the bedroom so I could relax and he would take care of the kids.  I just wanted to be by everyone, I love being around my kids I just sometimes need that extra pair of eyes.  Ya know someone extra to help run after the kids and keep them under control.  I gave myself a pedicure, took a nap and relaxed in peace.

So for dinner I was really wanting to eat some authentic Greek food.  I looked in the directory listing   for a Greek restaurant and the only one I found was in Ashburn.  I thought it was close but after I mapquested it, I found out it is 55 min away.  Screw that, I am not driving an hour to eat dinner.  So we decided that we will just eat at the Mexican restaurant down the street that we ate at a month or so ago.  It was pretty good and reasonably priced.

After dinner it will be off to bed early.  Well really just off to the bedroom, we have several tv shows we need to watch.  Unfortunately Tony has to work tomorrow but then he has off on Friday again.  Yippee!

Some pics of the lil ones!

It is so hard to get pics of the kids. Whenever they see a camera or the phone come out to take pics, they want to come see what we are doing. LOL!

A little bit about my family:
I am a SAHM of 4 wonderful children and I have the most amazing boyfriend! I am trying to get my online business up and running. Paper crafts and scrapbooking is what I love to do in my free time (when I get some, 4 kids keep me busy) and to try and turn my hobby into a way to make money so I can stay home with my kids that would be wonderful. If you are in to paper crafting and scrapbooking or know someone that is please check out my online store: Artfuldelight.com. Nicki, Tony, Isabel and Max are the joy in my life, I love being home with them but sometimes money can be tight. Hopefully I can have some success with this store.
