Not as prepared as I thought…
With the arrival of our new bundle on joy, OMG in 10 weeks. Side thought: it seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant. 10 weeks is still a decent amount of time, but it’s almost over. No more kids for us, the tubes will be tied, this is difficult still to come to terms with but it’s for the best. I am just ready, well mentally ready. LOL! So I was going through my baby stuff about a week ago and since we are in fact, well hopefully, having a boy we have a little more clothes than if we were having a girl. I had all my boy stuff packed up and ready to give to Goodwill. Thankfully we are procrastinators, we never got rid of it which is good since we are having a boy. LOL!
Both of our lil ones were born in warm climate states and lil Max will be born in the winter in a 4 season state. So that alone we will need to prepare for. More warm weathered clothes. I won’t be bringing him home in a onesie. LOL! Also my son can now climb in and out of his crib. Is it really necessary he sleeps in one? Baby Bel has been sleeping in a pack n play and Lil Tony has been in the crib. I did not want to buy another crib so that is how we kept things. The plan is or was to wait until Tony was big enough to sleep in a toddler bed, then we would move Isabel to the crib and Tony to a toddler bed. I think that will still be the plan so that way Max can sleep in the pack n play.
The other thing I really need to get is warm clothes for the kids. It is freakin’ freezing outside today. I mean it’s only 58 degrees but 6 yrs in Florida in the all year round warm weather, I kinda forgot how cold it really can get. The problem is my son refuses to wear clothes. He starts off wearing them but after a short period of time he has striped down to a diaper.
I am always looking for a great deal, the best deal. Since our family is growing we have to do things a little different. I can’t just go out and buy whatever no matter what price it is because quite frankly we live on a very tight budget every month. From food to household items to necessities like clothes. Clearance and bargains is my friend. We shop at Aldi and buy meats on clearance (they are still good they just need to be frozen right away). We buy things in the off season so they are on sale. Anyways, I came across this great site that helps you find great deals on pretty much anything you would be looking for. It’s called Freshdeals.com. It’s a price comparison website and I have found it very useful. I don’t always have an abundance of time to just sit and browse through website after website. I can just pull up freshdeals.com and compare prices from many different stores.
So basically I need to make a list of everything I need for the kids and just get it. New beds, new clothes, baby items…..I guess and while I’m at it I should get some warm clothes for me too. It is 60 degrees today and I am sitting around in a tank top and shorts, I feel a bit chilly.
Kids really are expensive! LOL!
