Unfortunately money is a little tight these days, as many of you probably are experiencing the same.  So we decided not to take the lil ones out trick or treating.  I realized they won’t really remember it anyways.  I went to Wal-Mart this morning to pick up some Halloween candy and WOW was it a mad house.  I was in and out, I certainly didn’t want to get caught up in all the crazy crowds.  I picked up 2 BIG BAGS of candy.  I wanted to be prepared, I thought we would get at least some trick or treaters. 

Well as I said we decided not to take our lil ones out.  Nicki is at that age where she is just at the border of “am i too old to go”, but she decided to go with her friend across the street.  They wanted to go as twins, somehow.  Well they decided to go as twin Daniel Middle School pep girls.  They had a pep-rally the other week and wore shirts that were painted and pom-poms in their hair and face paint so that is what they decided to do.  I was a little, not happy with it but oh well.  She had a good time and got lots of candy.

My friend offered to come get me and all of us go out trick or treating together. I said we hadn’t planned on taking the kids out due to not really having the money to get a costume and knowing they wouldn’t really get it anyways.  She offered to let me use one of her sons old costumes.  The only problem is her son wore it last year which would have made him 4 yrs old, my son is only 2 so it was going to be big.  But I thought, heck, why not.  Well as I was waiting to hear back from her on the plans, it was getting cold, windy and it was drizzling.  I didn’t really think my kids needed to out in that, they have been fighting colds for the last month. 

We decided just to stay home and hand out candy.  Unfortunately our street sucks and we only had one trick or treater, it was the lil girl across the street.  I was so bummed.  Not only because I bought all that candy and I don’t really want it all in my house, we don’t eat a lot of candy and I feel we will end up throwing more than half of it away but I like when all the lil kids come to the house.  I like Halloween.  Thankfully my friend said even though her boys got a lot of candy, she thinks it will only last a week or so, so I offered to bring them some of our candy.  LOL!  Lil Tony only had about a handful of candy since like 5pm and he had the hardest time falling asleep.  We don’t need all that candy in the house. 

So another day has come and gone.  Tony had to work the night shift, Nicki went out with her friends and my and the lil ones stayed home. Sounds like a typical Saturday to me. 

Before I know it, Christmas will be here and then we will be ringing in 2010.  Where does the time go?
