New phone or new carrier?
We have had AT&T for about 4 yrs. We only have cell phones, no land line. We rely on having reliable service as well as good customer service. We have had some trouble with customer service and our bill on occasion but AT&T has always taken care of the problem.
I got an iPhone back in February and I absolutely LOVE it. Tony and Nicki are up for a renewal and Tony desperately needs a new phone. He wants one that does it all, can play music with playlists, be able to use the internet and have a reliable working phone. He really wants an Android phone. We were set on getting the Samsung Captivate but it was a little on the expensive side so we were waiting to save up some money. Then we thought maybe we should go with a different carrier all together. Maybe Verizon, maybe T-Mobile. We decided Verizon was on the pricey side and with T-Mobile we were actually going to get a discount through our Snap Fitness membership. We checked in to T-Mobile and we would have gotten 2 Android phones for $150 after mail-in rebate. Plus NO activation fees and our bill was going to be the same every month for more minutes and data usage. Plus the phones we were going to get were exactly what Tony wanted and they came with a micro sd card. Added bonus.
When I called AT&T the other day they said we only had an early disconnect fee on one of the lines which we would have been willing to pay. Then when I called yesterday and spoke to an awesome rep at AT&T she informed me that we actually had ETF on all the lines.
So anywho, after talking to the VERY nice rep, she was able to get me the Samsung Captivate for $99 and also lower our monthly bill. DONE DEAL!!! LOL! I was a little nervous about changing carriers. I mean I knew what I was getting on a monthly basis with AT&T. I was worried we would have gotten some sort of hidden charges or something.
OVERALL I am extremely happy with AT&T right now. Tony is so totally stoked about getting his new phone in a couple days! :-)
