We will have a garage….

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

Among so many other reasons to be happy we are moving, Tony will finally have a garage again.  Last time we had a garage, well a useful garage was about 4 years ago.  He used to have one at the house he owned, we had one when we lived in Vegas, and we had one in the apartment we lived in.  The probably with the one in the house in Vegas was we never had any extra money for him to work on his car or any other fun stuff.  The problem with the garage at the apartment was the garage was decently far from our actual apartment.  It sucked to go work on things in the garage.

When we move we have to sell, throw away, or giveaway 90% of our belongings so we can have movers move us and it won’t cost an insane amount.  I told Tony that if he sells all his tools and car stuff that he can get all brand new stuff when we get to Arizona.  Among many new tools and such he will need a millermatic welder.  He has so many ideas in his head of things he wants to make and fix and just be able to do.  He accepted the idea that he will probably never be able to build his dream race car….at least for now, but he is open to all the fun things he can build with the kids.  I am really looking forward to this move!!

So much to look forward to…..

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

Oh my there is so much to look forward to this year.  Graduating college with an Associates in Accounting.  Moving out of our extremely small house.  Moving to Arizona.  Getting real jobs that pay “real” money.  Once we settle down in a house even if it is a rental, we might be able to get “real” furniture.  May sound funny but right now our kids are just too young to buy anything expensive or nice.  So we sleep on half ass beds, our kids sleep on mattresses on the floor, and we have old busted up chairs for the dining room table.  Among other things we just don’t have really nice furniture, other than our leather couches and beautiful dining room table that we built.  Maybe we can get some barnwood furniture and nice bedroom sets, as well as living room furniture.   We haven’t had  a coffee table in over 4 years.  Crazy huh!!  Oh well, in time we will have all the nice things we want.  I REALLY do feel good things are in our near future.  :-)

Been forever…..

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012

It seems like it has been forever since I posted.  There has been so much going on and I will save all that for another post.  I will say though that I am super excited about it being 2012.  I have such high hopes for my family this year.  Only 4 months until I am practically done with school and this semester shouldn’t be too stressful.

I have been working since September to get Tony’s credit repaired so when we are set to move we can buy a home.  I have been planning out how to financially take care of things for the rest of the year.  I don’t see us moving until the Fall but I know that time will come fast.  I am trying to figure out how to save enough money to have movers move us. Enough money to move us across the country.  Enough for a down payment on a house.  Enough for any deposits we will need to pay.  Enough for new furniture since we plan on getting rid of all of ours.  AND Tony wants to make sure that we have at least 3 months worth of bill money saved before we go.  Oh and on top of that I need to plan our route to get to Arizona.  We will need to get a trailer rack thing to hold our luggage on.  There will be NO ROOM in the Ford for any luggage or anything.  I mean we will have 6 people, a dog, and a cat.  YIKES!!!  We also need to buy some trailer luggage.  Maybe a cortech sport tail bag.  I think what we decided was to have a few different bags.  We plan on being on the road for several days so if we have a bag for 1-2 nights worth of stuff then we can just stop for the night at a hotel and pull one of the bags off.  Good idea huh??  We will probably need to put the other bags in the truck but at least we aren’t carrying a HUGE suitcase or something in with us every night.

Anywho, let’s just say I am mentally preparing for this move probably every day!!  I am TOTALLY excited!!!!  :-)

Right around the corner….

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

Christmas will be here in less than a month.  I think I am done with my Christmas shopping.  We decided not to get a bunch  of stuff for the kids knowing in less than a year we will be getting rid of it.  Nicki we got an e-reader and some clothes.  For the little ones I just got some random stuff.  I gave Tony money to put towards his gun.  He bought me some scrapbook storage suitcase I wanted.  Once Tony and I have “real” jobs and we can afford “real” gifts then I might buy him a nice watch.  Maybe like a citizen watch.  I can’t wait until we can afford some better gifts for each other.  :-)   When we met he used to wear a watch all the time.  I bet he would like a watch.  :-)

Oh my, need to get moving

Monday, November 7th, 2011

I can’t believe that Christmas is less than 2 months away.  The Fall semester is almost over too.  Before I know it Spring semester will be coming to a close.  With that said, we could be moving very soon and I don’t feel prepared.  I have been trying to put as many hours as I can in at Michaels.  Whenever they call me in, if I am not in class, I try to work.  Tony has even made comments about going down to a local restaurant and trying to get a Chef or Head Cook Jobs.

Any extra money would certainly help.  We still haven’t decided if we are going to move over the summer or in December next year.  I am really hoping it works out for us to leave over the summer.  I am just not sure I can handle staying in our house for another year.  Financially it seems like the right thing to do, I just don’t want to.  LOL!!

WOW, what a month

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

I can’t remember the last time I posted, it has been super busy. I have been working and going to school and taking care of my family.  WOW, I need a vacation.  LOL!!  In my free time I do look online for places in Arizona, I am trying to get everything in order.  Even though I would like to buy a home, I have been looking for homes for rent by owner.

Really I am open to anything.  Whatever will work out best for our financial situation at the time.

I feel like the wind was blown from my sail

I feel like I take one step forward and two steps back.  I thought I was doing all the right things to prepare for our move next year.  I have been talking with realtors, looking for daycare, talking with mortgage lenders, etc.  I find out that we are most likely going to be able to buy a home next summer as long as we did a couple key things with Tony’s credit before then.

Long story short financially we can’t take those proper steps at this time.  Ugh.  I feel so deflated.  I started to see if there was some sort of part time job I could obtain to help continue pursuing the proper steps for next year.  Not many jobs available in Winchester.  Maybe I can look for some sort of Caterer jobs.  I pretty much would only be able to work on the weekends so I feel a bit restricted.

I dunno.  I just feel I hit a road block.  :-(

A little bit about my family:
I am a SAHM of 4 wonderful children and I have the most amazing boyfriend! I am trying to get my online business up and running. Paper crafts and scrapbooking is what I love to do in my free time (when I get some, 4 kids keep me busy) and to try and turn my hobby into a way to make money so I can stay home with my kids that would be wonderful. If you are in to paper crafting and scrapbooking or know someone that is please check out my online store: Artfuldelight.com. Nicki, Tony, Isabel and Max are the joy in my life, I love being home with them but sometimes money can be tight. Hopefully I can have some success with this store.
