Merry Christmas to me.  LOL!  I bought a new phone the other day and I received it in the mail today.

Presenting, the Pink Blackjack II!

My phone that I was using was a Samsung Sync. It was a good phone but it is worn. It’s been dropped in water, dropped on the ground and just all around in need of an upgrade. I wouldn’t even use my phone and by early afternoon the battery would be low. I am just so excited. Tony has one too and the other day he finally sat down and found all these great applications that can be used on the phone.

I can’t wait for Tony to get home from work to show me all the things it can do.

Today was Tony’s day off so we decided to be productive.  Chores around the house, we needed to fix some things on our vehicle and then we wanted to take the kids to this new, awesome park.  Then to top our day we wanted to go out to eat.

So as usual I got up decently early with the kids and Tony woke up shortly after me.  Nicki was already at school.

Tony was such a great boyfriend and he took the kids on a walk (he walked, they rode in the stroller, LOL!) so that way I could have some time ALL TO MYSELF.  To do what I want.    My first thought was a nap.  LOL!  I just wanted some quiet time to rest up but I was a good girl and chose my time to clean up around the house without having to worry about kids yelling at me because I wan’t paying attention to them.

I put several laundry baskets of clothes away, did about 3 loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen and living room and then took a LONG nice QUIET shower!  By that time about 2 hours had passed and Tony was home.

We then took a drive to Walmart to pick up some oil and a filter so Tony could give our truck an oil change…..it so needed it.  We came back, Tony did the oil change and then while the kids were napping I went and got a PEDICURE!  OMGoodness, it was so well deserved and needed!  It felt great!

By the time I was done with all that, it was time to get the kids up and go to the park.  Nicki went to the park over the weekend for a birthday party.  It is just such a beautiful place.  You can rent paddle boats, canoes. ride horses.  There are a bunch of different playgrounds and nature trails.  It was awesome.  Of course Lil Tony really didn’t want to even play on the playground, he just wanted to walk around and play in the dirt and climb on the picnic tables.  Overall though, I think he had a great time.  Nicki enjoyed herself too except for the few times when she pouted because Tony had to pay attention to Lil Tony and not push her on the swing.  He had just gotten done pushing her and she was upset he had to stop.

We ended the evening by going to eat at On the Border a really nice Mexican Grill.  We all ate and the kids were great.

We had a really wonderful day!  Unfortunately back to work for Tony today.

This week has been crazy.  I have a lot on my plate right now.  From packing to starting my online business to normal motherly duties, I just feel a little overwhelmed.  I haven’t gotten much packing done.  Mostly getting rid of a bunch of things that I just don’t want to move and I know it won’t be that much to replace.

Some things such as our dishes we will get rid of and some of our furniture.  Our couches are still brand new, only about 2 years old….nice leather.  Most of our other stuff is all mis-matched anyway.

In our living room, we have a wine cabinet that we have covered with a sheet and on it has one of our computers and our projector.  It wasn’t like that before, we actually used it for its purpose but my laptop started getting slower and slower and driving me crazy so I had to bring out the desktop computer.  In order to try and keep lil Tony from playing with it, we had to put it up a little high.  So when we move, I want to be able to put my computer and projector in some sort of other set up.   Also in our bedroom our TV is on top of a mis-matched night stand that we picked up at a garage sale about a year ago.  We will be throwing that away.  Maybe we will get some tv stands for our TV and projector to sit on.  Well actually Nicki will need a small TV stand in here room and then one in our room. Then maybe get a ceiling mount for our projector.  One like this:

All I know right now is we are planning on getting rid of as much stuff as possible and will buy some nice new things when we get to our new home.

I am so totally stoked, we found a place to live…..and it has a pool…and it will be $525 a month cheaper than we are paying now.

I really do feel bad moving my daughter, again, because she has a lot of friends both in the neighborhood and at school. I do however, think this move is for the best.

Craigslist has become quite the place for scam artists so beware. At least a half dozen places I emailed about their home for rent ended up being a Nigerian scam. Those make me nervous simply because we are moving from out of town so we wouldn’t be able to physically see the place before hand. We would have to go by pictures. Some of them are good, they have an address and pics of the home and everything. My fear would have been that we would have paid a deposit on the home and pack up our truck, drive 5 hours to our “new home” and there be nothing there. So I was greatly pleased to find the place we did. Nicki will be thrilled we got the one with a pool.

So hopefully everything else will go smoothly….packing and moving.  Moving with 3 kids and 2 pack-rats will be the challenge.  We have gotten rid of a bunch of stuff over the months and hopefully we will get all of our stuff in a 24ft truck.  When we moved out of our last place, into the apartment, we had a 24ft truck.  In addition, I had made several trips in the Explorer and then we also had to rent a small van a couple days later to get the rest of the stuff.  OMGoodness, we have a lot of stuff.

Anyways, I am off to pack and get organized for our move in 3 weeks. 

Has anybody ever done anything with the pineapple top?  Did you know that if you plant it, it will grow?  Well I sure didn’t!

Tony told me that if you plant the top, it will grow real big and grow a new pineapple.  I thought, no way!  So he brought home, from work, about 6 tops.  I planted 4.  They all grew but 1 of the 4 grew much bigger than the others.  When we moved I only kept the healthiest one.

Tony said it would take a couple years for the pineapple to finally grow.  A couple weeks ago I thought it was dead.  It is outside on the patio, where I never go so it was not getting water.  I felt bad but realized I had made the mistake of not watering it.

Just when I thought it was dead, Nicki came to me today and said a plant was growing in the middle.  I was shocked.  So I decided to trim up some of the dead leaves on the bottom, give the plant a huge helping of water and now it looks so much better.

I think that is awesome. It took about a year to get this far. I wonder how much longer until I get a pineapple?

I thought I had seen a lot of movies until I went through this list of 239 movies.  I had only seen just over half on the list.  I saw this on Kat’s blog and was amazed at how many she had seen.

There are 239 movies on the list, place an “X” next to the ones you’ve seen.  Add them up…and post it on your site with the header “I’ve seen ____ out of 239 films!”

It would seem as though most of the ones I have not seen are all the scary movies….I DON”T care for them.  The only reason I would watch it is if Tony wanted to.
