Tony and I talk a lot about our future. Where we want to settle down, what type of house we would like to buy and do we really want him working for the same company forever.
We have been together for 3 years and together we have 2 kids and I have Nicki we want the best for our children, as any parent would. We want to be able to own a home big enough that our kids will never leave. We also want to own a large plot of land so that way if they don’t want to live in our house, we can build one for them on our property. We have 4-wheelers we want to ride on our property. We want a home and land like The Roloff’s do on “Little People, Big World” That is our dream…..will our dreams ever come true?
So about a month ago we were talking about moving to Virginia. Tony’s dad and sister are living out there and we thought it would be a great place to go. We were trying to find work and look at different places to live. It is a little expensive to live there. So we sort of put that idea on hold.
In the past several years we have talked about different places we would want to move to be able to own a large area of land for cheap. Virginia wasn’t one of them, unfortunately. Well a couple days ago Tony was offered to transfer one of their locations up near Tampa. We know for sure Florida is not where we want to settle down, however at this time we believe this to be a good move for our family. He will work a little less and hopefully make the same. We will pay less, because let’s face it, it’s expensive to live in South Florida. We are going to take the offer and move, should be moving in the next couple weeks. Yikes, that means I have to pack AGAIN!
So anyways, I will still keep my eyes open for land to buy in other states. I occasionally look at Land Flip a website that showcases different places that land is for sale, whether in a subdivision or in the boonies!
A couple places we found cheap land was in Texas, they have a lot of “ranch land”. That would be ideal for us because we also dreamed of owning horses. Maybe board horses. If we do we will need to get a bunch of horse riding equipment. We will need some english saddles, stirrup irons and leathers, bridles….etc. It will cost a lot to invest in the “horse farm” but I think it would be awesome!
Unfortunately for now we will be relocating a couple hours away from where we are now. Hopefully to make more and pay less in order to make all our dreams come true!
