High School

Saturday, March 12th, 2011

That’s right I said high school, my daughter will be going next year!  What the heck.  I was actually talking to a friend from Florida whose daughter started her first job last night.  Nicki will be able to get a job in 2 years.  I just can’t believe how old they are all getting.  My little Tony is getting so tall and he will be 4 this summer.  It makes me to sad.  Nicki is your typical teenager, pretty soon we will be shopping for prom dresses.

I just wish we can freeze time a bit and have a little longer to enjoy them as kids/toddlers.  :-)

Is it too early

Saturday, March 5th, 2011

I know it’s only March but July will be here before we know it and we have both Isabel and Tony’s birthday.  Tony has been so stuck on Mario Bros for the Wii.  He doesn’t play with toys and very rarely wants to go outside on the rare occasion it’s warm enough out.  Isabel seems to like babies more.  She dresses them and carries them around.  She might be easy to shop for.  The question will be for lil Tony, what do I get him.  Should I get him some more Wii games, something other than Mario?  Should I get him some outside activity toys like a spotting scope, just a fancy name for binoculars.  LOL!

I really think he is going to enjoy more complex activities.  The Mario game at the age of 3 1/2 he plays better than 10 and 11 year olds.  He has been “practicing”.  He will enjoy activities that really challenge his mind also working with his hands.  Tony is going to have to get some activities together that he can help, he does want to put his car back together, maybe they can do that together.

WOW, I can’t believe it will be Nicki and Tony’s birthday next month.  Yikes, where does the time go, Nicki will be 14…..that’s right FOURTEEN!!!

Happy news

So I moved away from home about 8 years ago and my have things changed since then.  I have recently gotten in touch with friends from Facebook.  It has been great to see what everyone has been up to over the years.  Get to see pics of all my high school friends family’s and their children.  It has been an amazing way to stay in touch and communicate.

One of my high school friends sisters and my other friends brother ended up getting married and just had a baby today.  How awesome is that?  I wish I was closer with them because I would totally send them baby gifts.

My kids are growing up all together too fast.  My lil man Max is walking and climbing on the couch.  Isabelli Chelli is in the middle of potty training and doing wonderful.  She slept in a diaper and woke up completely dry, went pee on the potty and has been wearing underwear all day.  And so far, no accidents.

Lil Tony has been attending speech sessions for the last year and he is now talking UP A STORM.  He is also a wiz at Mario Bros on the Wii.  I have decided that I don’t want more kids, even though I medically can’t have any, I am just sad that mine are all growing up.  WAY TOO FAST!!

Next year

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

Boy oh boy has it been busy around here.  School, the kids and household duties has kept me on my toes.  There are days that I feel completely overwhelmed.

Tony and I have set it in stone that the summer of next year we are moving.  If I wasn’t able to finish school then we will just move locally, if I was able to finish school and find a job we would move back to IL.

Yesterday when Tony and I were talking about it we were trying to figure out what to do with all the cars.  We will have a moving truck and 3 cars.  We talked about maybe getting rid of the Subaru, his daily driver.  But then Tony pointed out that Nicki will be starting to drive around that time.  Oh my goodness, really?  I can’t believe when we move Nicki will be 15 1/2….sheesh lil Tony will be starting Kindergarten that Fall.  I just can’t believe it.  I mean that Fall we  could potentially be looking for a prom dress for Nicki.

Life is moving by too fast, my kids are growing up too fast.  I want it all to stop.  I want a little more freedom with going out and getting stuff done around the house but that’s it.  I want my babies to stop growing.  LOL!

Funny dream

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

I never remember my dreams, I am not even sure I ever have any.  Wait I take that back, the dreams I have are ALWAYS the same.  They involve me and Tony and other women.  Usually it is Tony leaving me or cheating.  I was certainly traumatized in previous relationships because I have a hard time trusting Tony even though he hasn’t and won’t ever do anything like that but to have dreams all the time about it is ridiculous.  I mean Tony and I have been together for over 5 years and I still can’t trust.  What is my problem?

So anywho we always joke about the kids being the mail man or the UPS drivers so I guess Nicki had this funny dream the other day about how I had a kid and I was telling her it was the man’s down the street baby.  Now it may not sound funny and I don’t necessarily mean knee slapper funny but just the fact that she dreamt about something we always joke about was funny.

I can assure Tony and everyone and anyone reading this that I won’t have to contact ddc and get any paternity tests.  LOL!  Those are all Tony’s kids.  :-)   LOL!  Maybe we should stop crackin’ jokes like that, I do worry sometimes when we are in public and make jokes what people are really thinking.  LOL!

Holy crap

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

My baby is growing up, Nicki is 13 (will be 14 in April) and she has officially entered womanhood.  She will probably get mad at me for mentioning this, well no she won’t she is just embarrassed but I just can’t believe how fast she is growing up.  I am really glad she felt comfortable coming to me.  I didn’t have anyone around that I could ask questions to and sometimes I really wished I had.  I didn’t make a big deal about it and we sat down and I asked if she had any questions.  She told me no, so I then offered some information that might help her.  It was very nice to have that talk.  I really think it bothers me more than I will lead anyone to believe about not having someone to talk to.
Anywho, Nicki usually breaks out just from touching her face or whatever in school, I wonder if her breakouts will get worse now.  I might need to look in to some acne treatments just in case.

I just can’t believe how grown up she is.  My lil ones are growing so fast too.  They are taking so well now, forming sentences and talking back.  LOL!  It really makes me sad they are growing up.  :-(

Crazy

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

The last couple days have been crazy. I have been getting January’s kit together and my daughter left yesterday for Illinois. She was supposed to leave Monday night but the weather in Illinois was so bad her flight got cancelled. It was a long day.

Tony had off on Monday and we had to leave for the airport at 3pm. We decided that since we are on break from school that we will make meals and freeze them. So Monday we decided to make some lasagnas. I made some pancake batter for the week(we put them in squeeze bottles so we can have fresh pancakes in the morning) and then I helped Tony make the pasta. Tony took apart a turkey. One we got just after Thanksgiving for like $3. It was insanely cheap, we ended up buying 3 and put them in our deep freezer.

Tony ground up some of the turkey so we can make turkey burgers and freeze them. I made chili for dinner. We then left at 3pm and headed to the airport. All seemed to go as planned. Tony stayed with the kids in the parking lot and Nicki and I made our way to the gate.
I stayed with Nicki until she boarded the plane. I headed back to the car and we started to head home. Within 45min she called and said the plane was delayed for 3 hrs and they were directed off the plane. We were already half home with some CRANKY lil kids. I toldNicki to hang out by the gate, not go anywhere and I was going to take Tony and the kids home and head back up to hang with her until her flight left. Within 15 more minutes she called and said the flight was cancelled. We turned around and immediately headed back up to the airport.

Nicki was able to get her luggage and we were able to rebook the flight for the morning. We then headed home, all together we were on the go for 6 hours. The kids were very cranky by the time we got home.

6:30am yesterday morning we were up again, getting ready and out the door by 7am to head to the airport. This time I was on my own with my kids. I have done this plenty of times but I think we all had enough. We made our way through the airport with no problems, and sent Nicki on her way.

I think we ended up spending $100 yesterday and the day before in gas, food, tolls and parking. It was ridiculous. Needless to say I am exhausted.

I LOVE the looks I get from people when they see me handling my 4 kids, I think they think I am insane. LOL! So anywho, that is what I have been up to.

A little bit about my family:
I am a SAHM of 4 wonderful children and I have the most amazing boyfriend! I am trying to get my online business up and running. Paper crafts and scrapbooking is what I love to do in my free time (when I get some, 4 kids keep me busy) and to try and turn my hobby into a way to make money so I can stay home with my kids that would be wonderful. If you are in to paper crafting and scrapbooking or know someone that is please check out my online store: Artfuldelight.com. Nicki, Tony, Isabel and Max are the joy in my life, I love being home with them but sometimes money can be tight. Hopefully I can have some success with this store.
